On May 7th, Jean McDermott, from the federally funded program SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol), will lead a discussion on how to stay safe from common scams targeting older adults, especially scams through the internet, phone, and via text message. Scammers are persistent and do not discriminate! TVSC’s Incredible Volunteers!!!

Volunteers are the backbone of the TVSC organization and key for us to be able to fulfill our mission.

Did you know we prepare and deliver approximately 10,000 meals a year?

During 2024, our 28+/- volunteers provided nearly 4500 hours of their valuable time, assisting in one or more of our programs or services. They helped in the kitchen, dining room, packing or driving for Meals on Wheels, lead a program or activity, helped outside with gardening, painting, etc.
AND…. with more volunteers we can provide even more programs and services to our community.

You don’t need a special talent to be a volunteer, but if you do have one please consider sharing it with others here at the Center. Either way, if you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to hear from you.
